(ATLANTA) – February 20, 2013 – Clark Atlanta University (CAU), in conjunction with the Women’s Empowerment Conference and the Egypt Cares Family Foundation, presents the “Egypt’s Sister’s Keeper Shut-In,” an all-female overnight mentoring boot camp for 150 young women ages 18 and up hosted by HGTV host and V-103 Atlanta personality Egypt Sherrod.

Taking place at 6pm on Friday, March 1 through Saturday, March 2 on Clark Atlanta’s campus (the Thomas Winston Cole, Jr. Research Center for Science & Technology), the Egypt’s Sister’s Keeper Shut-In will encourage a spirit of sisterhood and create an environment of love and acceptance, while dissecting self-destructive issues such as jealousy and self-hatred that hold women back from happy, fruitful lives.

Guests of the ‘Sister’s Keeper Shut-In’ will be treated to a series of seminars and presentations as well as meals, manicures/pedicures, massages, makeup tips, a Pilates session, games, contests, dancing and more.

This year’s Shut-In speakers include reality stars Towanda Braxton, Nicci Gilbert, Mimi Faust and Syleena Johnson; V-103 and WAOK radio personalities Egypt SherrodMo IvoryJean RossPrincess Monique and Kendra G; a keynote address byCharmaine Ward, director of community affairs, Georgia-Pacific; Dr. Tosha Rogers-Jones and Dr. Heavenly Kimes; motivational speaker Terra Wallace, celebrity talent manager Amber Noble- Garland, publishing executive Yvette Caslin, celebrity hair and makeup artists Bridgit Crider and Sandye Lomax.

Seminar topics include health and hygiene, pain and stress, fear, race and skin color, dating and relationships and more.
